Getting Started

Prerequisites

If you haven't already, follow the initial steps of the Getting Started guide:

Installation and configuration

Add the tap-athena extractor to your project using

meltano add
```

meltano add extractor tap-athena

Configure the tap-athena settings using

meltano config

:

meltano config tap-athena set --interactive

Test that extractor settings are valid using

meltano config

meltano config tap-athena test

'True' to enable schema flattening and automatically expand nested properties.

Flattening Max Depth (flattening_max_depth)

Environment variable: TAP_ATHENA_FLATTENING_MAX_DEPTH

The max depth to flatten schemas.

Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-athena set flattening_max_depth [value]

S3 Staging Dir (s3_staging_dir)

Environment variable: TAP_ATHENA_S3_STAGING_DIR

The S3 staging directory where output is written.

Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

Schema Name (schema_name)

Environment variable: TAP_ATHENA_SCHEMA_NAME
