Installation and configuration

  1. Add the tap-aws-cost-explorer extractor to your project using
    meltano add

    meltano config

  4. meltano config tap-aws-cost-explorer set --interactive
  5. Test that extractor settings are valid using
    meltano config

End Date (end_date)

  • Environment variable: TAP_AWS_COST_EXPLORER_END_DATE

The end date for retrieving Amazon Web Services cost.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-aws-cost-explorer set end_date [value]

Granularity (granularity)

  • Environment variable: TAP_AWS_COST_EXPLORER_GRANULARITY

Sets the Amazon Web Services cost granularity to MONTHLY or DAILY , or HOURLY.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-aws-cost-explorer set granularity [value]

Metrics (metrics)

  • Environment variable: TAP_AWS_COST_EXPLORER_METRICS

Which metrics are returned in the query. Valid values are AmortizedCost, BlendedCost, NetAmortizedCost, NetUnblendedCost, NormalizedUsageAmount, UnblendedCost, and UsageQuantity.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-aws-cost-explorer set metrics [value]

Secret Key (secret_key)

  • Environment variable: TAP_AWS_COST_EXPLORER_SECRET_KEY

Your AWS Account Secret Key.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-aws-cost-explorer set secret_key [value]

Session Token (session_token)

  • Environment variable: TAP_AWS_COST_EXPLORER_SESSION_TOKEN

Your AWS Account Session Token if required for authentication.

Start Date (start_date)
