Getting Started

Prerequisites

If you haven't already, follow the initial steps of the Getting Started guide:

  1. Install Meltano
  2. Create your Meltano project

Installation and configuration

  1. Add the tap-dynamics extractor to your project using
    meltano add
    :
  2. meltano add extractor tap-dynamics --variant singer-io
  3. Configure the tap-dynamics settings using
    meltano config
    :
  4. meltano config tap-dynamics set --interactive
  5. Test that extractor settings are valid using
    meltano config
    :
  6. meltano config tap-dynamics test

Api Version (api_version)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_API_VERSION

The API version. Example: "9.2"

Client Id (client_id)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_CLIENT_ID

The Azure AD app client id


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

Client Secret (client_secret)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_CLIENT_SECRET

The Azure AD app client secret


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-dynamics set client_secret [value]

Max Pagesize (max_pagesize)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_MAX_PAGESIZE

The maximum number of records per page to request for pagination


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-dynamics set max_pagesize [value]

Organization Uri (organization_uri)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_ORGANIZATION_URI

The MS Dynamics 365 domain URI for environment. Example: https://..dynamics.com


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-dynamics set organization_uri [value]

Redirect Uri (redirect_uri)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_REDIRECT_URI

The Azure AD app redirect URI


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-dynamics set redirect_uri [value]

Refresh Token (refresh_token)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_REFRESH_TOKEN

The OAuth2.0 refresh token (see Authentication README Authentication section for more details).

meltano config tap-dynamics set refresh_token [value]

Start Date (start_date)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_START_DATE

The default value to use if no bookmark exists for an endpoint

User Agent (user_agent)

  • Environment variable: TAP_DYNAMICS_USER_AGENT

Process and email for API logging purposes. Example: tap-dynamics <api_user_email@your_company.com>
