The tap-iceberg extractor pulls data from Iceberg that can then be sent to a destination using a loader.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

If you haven't already, follow the initial steps of the Getting Started guide:

  1. Install Meltano
  2. Create your Meltano project

Installation and configuration

  1. Add the tap-iceberg extractor to your project using
    meltano add
    :
  2. meltano add extractor tap-iceberg
  3. Configure the tap-iceberg settings using
    meltano config
    :
  4. meltano config tap-iceberg set --interactive
  5. Test that extractor settings are valid using
    meltano config
    :
  6. meltano config tap-iceberg test

Catalog Name (catalog_name)

The name of the catalog to connect to.

Catalog Type (catalog_type)

  • Environment variable: TAP_ICEBERG_CATALOG_TYPE

The type of catalog to connect to.

Catalog URI (catalog_uri)

The URI of the catalog to connect to.

Catalog Properties (catalog_properties)

  • Environment variable: TAP_ICEBERG_CATALOG_PROPERTIES

Additional properties to pass to the catalog connection.

Access Key (client_access_key_id)

  • Environment variable: TAP_ICEBERG_CLIENT_ACCESS_KEY_ID

The access key of the AWS Glue Data Catalog.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-iceberg set client_access_key_id [value]

Secret Access Key (client_secret_access_key)

  • Environment variable: TAP_ICEBERG_CLIENT_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY

The secret access key of the AWS Glue Data Catalog.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-iceberg set client_secret_access_key [value]

Session Token (client_session_token)

  • Environment variable: TAP_ICEBERG_CLIENT_SESSION_TOKEN

The session token of the AWS Glue Data Catalog.

Region (client_region)

  • Environment variable: TAP_ICEBERG_CLIENT_REGION

The region of the AWS Glue Data Catalog.

Role ARN (client_iam_role_arn)

  • Environment variable: TAP_ICEBERG_CLIENT_IAM_ROLE_ARN

The IAM role ARN to assume when connecting to the AWS Glue Data Catalog.

'True' to enable schema flattening and automatically expand nested properties.

Flattening Max Depth (flattening_max_depth)

  • Environment variable: TAP_ICEBERG_FLATTENING_MAX_DEPTH

The max depth to flatten schemas.
