Getting Started

Prerequisites

If you haven't already, follow the initial steps of the Getting Started guide:

Installation and configuration

Add the tap-parquet extractor to your project using
```
meltano add
```
:

meltano add extractor tap-parquet

Configure the tap-parquet settings using

meltano config

:

meltano config tap-parquet set --interactive

Test that extractor settings are valid using

meltano config

:

meltano config tap-parquet test

Filepath (filepath)

Environment variable: TAP_PARQUET_FILEPATH

The absolute path to a parquet source file.

Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-parquet set filepath [value]

Start Date (start_date)

Environment variable: TAP_PARQUET_START_DATE

Determines how much historical data will be extracted. Please be aware that the larger the time period and amount of data, the longer the initial extraction can be expected to take.

Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-parquet set start_date [value]

Compression format to use for batch files.

Format to use for batch files.

Flattening Enabled (flattening_enabled)

'True' to enable schema flattening and automatically expand nested properties.

Flattening Max Depth (flattening_max_depth)

Environment variable: TAP_PARQUET_FLATTENING_MAX_DEPTH

The max depth to flatten schemas.

Stream Map Config (stream_map_config)

User-defined config values to be used within map expressions.
