Prerequisites

If you haven't already, follow the initial steps of the Getting Started guide:

  1. Install Meltano
  2. Create your Meltano project

Installation and configuration

  1. Add the tap-pendo extractor to your project using
    meltano add
    :
  2. meltano add extractor tap-pendo
  3. Configure the tap-pendo settings using
    meltano config
    :
  4. meltano config tap-pendo set --interactive
  5. Test that extractor settings are valid using
    meltano config
    :
  6. meltano config tap-pendo test

Include Anonymous Visitors (include_anonymous_visitors)

  • Environment variable: TAP_PENDO_INCLUDE_ANONYMOUS_VISITORS
  • Default Value: false

Defines whether or not to include anonymous visitors in the results.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-pendo set include_anonymous_visitors [value]

Lookback Window (lookback_window)

  • Environment variable: TAP_PENDO_LOOKBACK_WINDOW
  • Default Value: 0

The number of days to use as the lookback window.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-pendo set lookback_window [value]

Period (period)

  • Environment variable: TAP_PENDO_PERIOD

This defines how data is aggregated, either on a daily or hourly basis.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-pendo set period [value]

Start Date (start_date)

  • Environment variable: TAP_PENDO_START_DATE

This is the default start date value to use if no bookmark is present.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-pendo set start_date [value]

Integration Key (x_pendo_integration_key)

  • Environment variable: TAP_PENDO_X_PENDO_INTEGRATION_KEY

This is the integration key generated via the Pendo website: Settings -> Integrations -> Integration Keys.


Configure this setting directly using the following Meltano command:

meltano config tap-pendo set x_pendo_integration_key [value]
